Preamble

What is the United States of America? As it turns out, there are two entities called the United States of America.

The first and original mentioned in the Preamble and Article 2 of the Constitution of the United States was formally created in the Articles of Confederation.

But sometime after the Civil War, probably early in the 20th century, a second United States of America came into being.

The second is a political alliance or compact of the insular possessions of the United States.

But there's one more thing you need, and that is to prove intent.

The declaration was, you know, Preamble mentions this twice.

It says there's got to be a design or a direct object of imposing absolute despotism or absolute tyranny.

And that's where the first part of the conclusion comes in.

But we were learning, we were learning, uh, there was educational content in between those things.

The network would just drop a song about American history and we'd be like, "I think I just absor- absorbed some knowledge." And then you, you'd run around doing the Constitution and the Preamble.

And I'd be singing Conjunction Junction and la-la-la-la-la get your adver- Like, it worked of- but of course it was a fucking advertising exec that came up with it.

[cheering] So if we want to keep living free in this amazing country that we love, every one of us has to heed Abraham Lincoln's warning and take that responsibility upon ourselves.

When we look at our Constitution and we look at those who, who drafted the Constitution, they were very intentional in the first three words that they chose in writing the Preamble.

What is it? We the people.

We the people.
