Most recently, they've been trying to erode the national historic preservation act which regulates how historic sites are preserved and defined and so the society has done a lot of work writing letters to the congressional delegation and working with others historical organizations to try to oppose some of these initiatives that would erode historic preservation

okay Any other comments on the erosion of history or anything along those lines? We did see budget cuts from federal grants for museums impact a lot of museums here early last year, and we've seen most of those funds returned at this point, I believe, including impacting our own Pratt Museum here in Homer.

However, like I said, those grants were reversed in court months later.

I'd just like to add that the AHS does this work, but a lot of other organizations do this work.
