What inspired you to make the video and shoot it there?

We were, okay, so I was super inspired by Fatboy Slim's Praise You video with Spike Jones.

Because that was this, and also this kind of, this cinema movement called Dogma 95, which where it was like, I don't want to, it's not amateurish, but it's like, it's a cinema where you don't need a lot.

It's like, it's supposed to be more honest and raw and unscripted.

All right, now your next pick, and I had no doubt you were going to bring this one to the mix.

So I almost touched this one, and then I let it go, okay? This is Praise You by Fatboy Slim.

Yes, none other than the 1999 mix from season three, the fabled year of 1999.

Which, you know, as you get older, it's really difficult to not just, like, look back and be like, oh, things were just, like, better then, you know? Yeah.

But then also, yeah, like music was like just so good.

This is like peak VH1 MTV, you know, music videos on actual like television shows you tune in to watch like the Internet was sort of coming out, but not really like what it was or what it is today.

um there was just like it was like greenfield everything just felt like greenfield and open and exciting and i think that that's what i really love it so praise you uh fatboy slim is definitely deserving to go on that mix that was a song that i listened to a lot um you know like it was also again like edm like early early dance was kind of like starting to come out i know obviously like radiohead in the 80s and everything but it was it had changed now in the 90s to be a little bit like you know, more poppy and more radio time.

I don't know why I called it the Delta Round.

So going, actually going back pretty w- far for this one.

Um, this of course was, uh, kind of the follow-up to, um, to his first kind of really big hit that of course being, uh, Praise You, uh, from the same al- it was ...

Act- So actually this is interesting.

So The Rockefeller Skank actually came out before Praise You.

Um, as I said, this, this song came out on June 8th, 199- 1998.

Meanwhile, Praise You came out on, on January 4th, 1999.

So kind of, [laughs] kind of interesting there that, uh, that f- that, uh, Praise You was after this.

But meanwhile, Praise You made it onto the, um, Praise You made it onto the second Now, Now That's What I Call Music, and then, uh, Rockefeller Skank made it onto the third.

And so I made it my business to get down there and he welcomed me and he was leading this amazing multi-round sauna where we would go in and he's pouring water and oils on the stones and waving the fan around.

And then having us sing 90s songs like Praise You by Fatboy Slim.

And we're all having this sing-along and then we get out of the sauna and we go run into the water and we come back.

And then he's singing Icelandic songs, and there's Icelandic people there that know these songs, because that's a big part of the culture.
