Power

Okay, now it's spring 1985.

Gere is filming the Sidney Lumet-directed Power.

He plays a political consultant, and Julie Christie plays a journalist who is his ex-wife.

In this scene, they discuss why they cheated on each other.

Ultimately, Matt Salinger, the son of famed author J.D. Salinger, was cast in the role of Captain America.

Salinger's career had only just begun having played minor roles in 80s movies like Revenge of the Nerds and the Sidney Lumet film Power.

Looking back on it Salinger said it was just another audition I had met with the director before and he offered me something that I had passed on but I was a Captain America fan from the time I was nine so when I heard about this I got very excited.
