Uh, just for Wednesday through Saturday, I attended events at St. Louis Art Museum, Kemper Art Museum at WashU, uh, Park Like, Spring Church, Counterpublic's headquarters, Contemporary Art Museum, Powell Hall, International Institute of St. Louis, Tower Grove Park, The Luminary, um, National Building Arts Center, The Ville, um, the, uh, 101 Chouteau, 618 and 700, l- cl- uh, Second Street, and, uh, Catherine Berg Garden, and Kenny's Upstairs.

So they're mobilizing simultaneously-

As STLPR's Jeremy Goodwin reports, the work in Counterpublic 2026 spans art museums, St. Louis neighborhoods, the riverfront, and beyond.

Counterpublic opening events include a show at Powell Hall tonight, a musical performance in Tower Grove Park on Friday, and music, dance, and food trucks over the weekend.

The exhibition happens every three years.

This year's is called Coyote Time.

So my brain, this is where my brain goes with it, I'm thinking, well, it's a good marketing idea.

How else are you going to get people into those velvet seats and have them experience Powell Symphony Hall, just experiencing that and live music there, and then what a symphony can actually make you feel? Because a symphony is way different.

When they present a song, then if you see a four-piece cover band or a five-piece cover band.

So my brain's thinking, now what's going to come next? Are we going to see Alice in Chains performing Beethoven? Yeah.
