Potrero Chico

I'm a big fan of monotony.

Okay, Cameron asks, "I have a trip coming up to EPC, El Potrero Chico, in a- around two months where I will be doing some longer climbs.

I've been there a few times before, and one of the limiting factors I've found for climbing hard on long days in lower angle or vertical terrain is toe and foot fatigue from standing on edges and being in climbing shoes for a bunch of pitches.

Do you have any thoughts on how to prepare my feet in advance? The climbing local to me in Southern Arto- Southern Ontario is somewhat similar to EPC, but there's not a ton of low angle hard stuff since the terrain is a bit more blocky and less sharp.

And still up there and still having a great time addressing the challenges of 5.7. [laughs]

[laughs] I saw George in Potrero Chico this last winter.

My girlfriend is from there, and so I spend my winters down in Potrero Chico in Mexico.

Oh, wow.

And we were at a, a little restaurant, and someone was like, "That's George Lowe right there." [laughs]

'Cause there's always trauma and loss, right? So been doing it for a while now.

I really believe in the process and the Muskoks, and people ask me, you know, "Is it worth it?" And one of the things I share with people is I saw people, I'll get emotional about this, I saw people who hadn't smiled in a fucking year, and I saw them smile for the very first time at a Muskoks meeting, and that is invaluable, so yeah.

Oh, that's, it's weird you're talking about this, and now I'm realizing a friend of mine who witnessed a fatality in Potrero Chico mentioned to me, and I think this is the group, but do you guys have offices in, like, Squamish as well too, or-
