Possessor

Like, you know, when he recommends me stuff, I'll write it down or, like, whatever, and on a random Tuesday when I'm home sick or whatever, I'll be like, "Oh, I'll watch that movie that John Eric recommended to me like three years ago." Anyway, this movie he recommended to me kind of on a whim, kind of just like an offhand, like, "Oh yeah, you should watch that movie.

It's pretty good." It's Possessor.

It came out in 2020.

I think we watched it in 2023 or 2024, directed by Brandon Cronenberg.

Possessor is a fantastic movie.

I, I think Possessor, it's definitely, uh, eh, it's kind of a body horror movie.

It's more like, if any of you have ever seen, uh, Black Mirror, it's Black Mirror-esque, kind of near future type horror movie.

I won't ruin it or anything, but that movie also-- That movie, uh, legitimately blew me out of the water.

I have a very, very specific attachment to that novel, which one of these days I'll have to talk about.

But Hob went with another one that both of us, I think, are boosters for, Possessor, the

Brandon Cronenberg movie.

Hell yes.

A great, fabulous shelf pick for that movie.

Hell yes.

And please watch Possessor, especially whatever the... uncut version was yes really see what's going on with

sean some of the most painful fucking violence i've ever seen in a movie just oh yeah i mean yeah

Yeah, it's good.

My, my actual pick, which is also on Netflix, and was literally like my second favorite film of that year, it was, I think I said it was my favorite film until I saw Possessor, but I really love the film His House.

I don't know if you saw His House, but this-

Oh, yeah.

then we're going to talk about the movie of the month, which was my choice for the letter P.

And I chose Possessor, the Brandon Cronenberg film.

Did you watch it? Was it too violent? Was it not violent enough?

What did you think? And be sure to stick around for the end of the episode for my pick for the next letter, the letter Q.

let's get into

that segue

Possessor by Brandon Cronenberg.

Brandon Cronenberg, the son of David Cronenberg, fantastic Canadian director.

She's the wife in Mandy.

That's why it's not

Possessor's a fantastic example of it.

Possessor.

I like Possessor.

I did not like the other one.

Infinity Pool.
