Possessed

Because I mean, i- it's, it's, it's probably close to being it without being...

It's like Possessed.

I don't see Possessed as a, as a death metal.

But I mean, it's kind of the last step before death metal.

Yeah.

Yeah.

And, and but they coined the t- the term.

Possessed?

We got together in 1988, and...

The bands that inspired us were some of the death metal bands, the early death metal bands that had been around before us, like Death and Possessed, and then, yes, Celtic Frost slash Hellhammer, and the German thrash bands that were borderline death metal, like Sodom and Creator.

All that stuff was around before us, and it totally inspired us.

Flair, too, so...

There was a lot of, a lot of musicians that were in, in thriving speed metal bands, and they would leave.

I remember, uh, Larry Lalonde from Possessed.

They were the most satanic speed metal band.

He, when he left the band to form a, like a, um, like a f- um, a comical type Red Hot Chili Peppers type band, I forget the name of the band, Mr. Bungle, man, he did something, and he, he, we considered him a sellout.
