Posse comitatus

For many, many years, I spent in terms of the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, as you know, under the tutelage of one of the great sheriffs like yourself, Sheriff Joe Rapallo.

And they had this incredible organization called the Sheriff's Posse.

Now, a lot of people may not understand this around the country and think that we go back to the old Wild West and think a bunch of rough riders going out there.

you know, rattling people's cages and throwing them in jail for doing things like maybe drinking in the old saloon and not cleaning up after you eat your food at the table.

uh, from them.

For instance, um, the, the North Dakota shootout between the U S marshals and, uh, Posse Comitatus members.

Well, it shows us that when you use long guns at pistol ranges, they're devastating.

They're just absolutely devastating.

And, you know, whether it's a shotgun or a rifle, uh, you know, the Gordon call the Posse Comitatus guy, uh, he just laid out the marshals.

He laid them out and none of the shots were particularly long range and none of them were particularly difficult, but he was quite capable of using his weapon and he did.

So I think that really looking at incidents in depth and, and, and, Different people may actually draw different conclusions from what the incident entailed, and that's fine.
