Positive Behavior Support, or PBS, is based on Applied Behavior Analysis, or ABA.

One of the main ideas in ABA and used in all PBS behavior plans, or BIPs, is the concept that nearly every behavior has a specific underlying legitimate reason or reasons.

As PBS is the basis for all behavior plans in the United States and public schools, parents who have children with behavior plans need to understand the parts that make one up.
