Portomarín

Here I am, day three of my Camino, and it is 6:07 AM.

I am leaving Portomarín, and my next stage is Palas de Rei.

And this moon is still out, which is beautiful.

I started out in the darkness, but gradually, as I climbed up the trail through this quiet stretch of woods, the sky began to lighten.

I can feel the ground heat through my shoes.

When we get into Porto Marin, three of the women in our group are already at the bar, and God knows how.

They tell us that there's something going on in town.

They saw a brass band in Hawaiian shirts and priests parading a statue and a cross through the square.
