Portola Valley

Yeah.

So the first thing I did when I went out on my own, I bought some land in Portola Valley, which is right outside of, you know, Palo Alto where Stanford is, and, and I lived in Woodside at the time so, you know, all our college friends, we were still a close-knit group.

And so I bought 300 acres in Portola Valley, and it had every environmental problem.

Rest- restrictions and-

The San Andreas Fault ran through it, you know, ev- everything.

Um, it had landslides, so we had to mitigate that.

It had biological issues.

It had wildlife issues, and everybody was fighting me on it, and the f- the people who were fighting me were Stanford professors, right? The biology department and the USGS 'cause they all lived in Portola Valley.

When the singing finally ended, the parents erupted in applause, hoots and hollers.

Their cheers filled the clubhouse and Portola Valley community, and that moment of bliss lasted all night.
