Port of Jebel Ali

The East-West pipeline, built to bypass Hormuz, was attacked and is offline for three to five weeks.

Jebel Ali Port has collapsed from a top ten global port to thirty-second place.

There's massive rerouting going on, higher insurance premiums, longer transit times, and reduced reliability for oil, petrochemicals, and containerized freight.

And this is all down to the US policy and Iran being attacked by the US and Israel.

So the situation that we've got at the moment, where are we in terms of capacity and what does it mean for our ability to move things around?

So a big part of the UAE trade, if you look at Jabal Ali Port, Abu Dhabi Port, a big part of the trade was the transshipment, where cargo used to come to the region and then sit here and go again on another ship to another country.

And the gateway cargo, which is meant for the country, for our consumption and for our industrial consumption.

So a lot of the gateway cargo has now shifted to these alternate corridors.
