And again, this is where the story becomes a little bit personal for me.

There's a gentleman named Jim Shaw, who is from Port McNichol, Ontario.

Port McNichol now is a sleepy little waterfront town in North Simcoe next to Midland.

Not very much going on in Port McNichol.

In the 1920s, it was a thriving Great Lakes grain handling and passenger

And then the ships would travel sometimes to Chicago.

They could not get through to Toronto, of course, because the Welland Canal wasn't big enough, nor could they have gotten through to Montreal because there was no St. Lawrence Seaway.
