Porsche 996

Uh, Taylor, what have you been up to? What are you sitting in front of there?

Well, I was just about to say, I think the biggest part of my life recently is my 996 Turbo that I'm currently-

... sat in front of, um, which I took to Food and Fuel-

I, I suddenly had another obsession I even texted you guys about that we can get to later, 'cause I kind of want to get into the luxury GTs.

But let's, while we're talking about that, what, what do we have? I don't think I'm gonna pick up for the winter, uh, a red Porsche 996 Turbo.

All-wheel drive.

Uh, I...

So it's around.

Right.

Today we're driving the, um, 2001 996 Turbo that we have in inventory, so-

Yeah

I think that they're going the right direction and they're heading that way.

I think 996 Turbo, James, to kind of add to that, is exceptional value for money.

I kind of feel like they always will be, though.

I don't, you know, I think there's room for them.

That's an underappreciated car, that kind of thing.

At some point, I think people's mindset changes.

And I've got customers in here who didn't even give time of day to a 996 a few years ago, and now they're buying 996 turbos off me.

Yeah, right.

Can you talk about 996 C4s? I think C4s, not C4s, but just C4s cars.

This car seems to be gaining popularity.

I'm curious if you've ever driven this wide body non-Metzger.

It was late 2002, early 2003.

My dad had his 996 Turbo out there that he just bought in 2002, and I was driving around there.

And one of the participants, the students, he was an airline pilot and just one of the first 996 C4Ss.

And I took him around the track back to back with the 996 Turbo.
