A 959 is another one more very classic, very, very rare, very expensive Porsche.

A 917-style cooling fan and wheels in the style of the 928 telephone dial.

Now, the 928 was a front-engine...

Porsche, long nose, short back.

It was basically like a Jaguar E-Type, but more modern.

So then hopefully by that time, they'll have the 911 figured out, they'll have the future Cayman Boxsters figured out, and perhaps they'll get to cars that most enthusiasts can afford to buy.

What I like about this car above the 911, that they almost got it wrong, in the 80s because the 928 was built to replace the 911 and here they're not saying it's to replace the 911 it's a car that's a segment above it right so like I said I I and like you you said Nathan I wish them the best with it because it's going to get them to that firm footing to get back to what they do normally

Yeah, I worry a little bit of our membership for our club because our entry-level car has always been a used Porsche, right? And with Porsche pricing going even higher, that means the price of entry-level goes higher as well.

Eventually, there won't be those $10,000 boxers that we can get right now.

You know, you're chasing all those gremlins, as we've seen, and some cheaper plastics.

on the interior so those are the shortcomings there again nothing really with the engine that you didn't see outside of bmw coolant right cooling system issues but

yeah we've had two eight series come through our hands and no 928s in the past couple years

There's not as many of them.

Now, does that just mean more variations on the 911? Or are we going to get a bigger difference like Jaguars or not Jaguars? Like Aston Martin's, you know, lineup versus their supercars they make high profit margin on their supercars but they can go hey we're only going to do 500 of these or 400 of these but it's going to be two and a half million dollars it's like is that where Porsche is going to go

maybe there's talk about doing a GT car they're talking about doing a GT car above the 911 so I mean you know that would be mid-engine but you start thinking about like 928 which of course was front engine not mid-engine but You know, that was kind of the 928 was supposed to replace the 911 and didn't.

But I think it's really cool today.

So it's an interesting play.

So let's kind of retreat to the high end of the market and, you know, let's make a, let's just become a luxury goods manufacturer and make a ton of money, which is, you know, it's a kind of the Gucci strategy or the Louis Vuitton strategy or.

Yeah.

You know, one interesting point you were kind of alluding to was, I've been saying for a long time since the Panamera came out that they should be doing a two-door version and call it a 928 or bring back a front-engine V8, two-door, maybe a 2 plus 2, tiny backseat, a cool GT car, a proper Grand Touring coupe.

I think that would be a very cool car to have.
