The, the, the center and the left doesn't really have that kind of funding for those people.

And so you can trust, and, and one of the people I'm gonna mention, be mentioning to you today is Judd Legum from, um, Popular Information.

A lot of those people have, have really, really good reporters, and you can actually check and see where their income comes from and to whom they're reporting.

But, um, but The reason that I wanted to focus on this today is because of something a big, a much bigger picture that's going on right now, um, coming up to the midterm elections in the United States, and that is the use of information to change the way people interact with [lip smacks] voting and with the government.

[lip smacks] And one of the things that we are seeing right now is the rise, um, and Judd Legum covered this today, of, um, [lip smacks] the investment of Elon Musk in the midterm elections, and he has said he will spend up to $100 million in these midterm elections, which by the way, don't even start me about how that should be illegal even though that is not.

That's something we'll have to take on, that Citizens United, that's with some complications around that.

But [lip smacks] one of the things that raises, uh, aside from the s- sheer amount of money that's there, that raises a huge, huge, huge red flag is the fact that one of the things he is investing in is a website that is called VoteSafe.org. And it sounds fine, right? But unlike Vote.gov, which is the government system that does not collect our information, according to Legum of Popular Information, VoteSafe.org collects your name, your birthdate, your home address, your email address, your cell phone number, your IP address and location, um, [lip smacks] uh, every link you click and every page you look at.

Now why should that worry you? I mean, it should worry you partly because of the whole idea that we are, you know, we are being packaged to, um, to advertisers to sell us things.

Think about that.

Journalist Judd Lagoon, author of the Popular Information newsletter, noted that the fundamental premise of the ad is false, one that's saying they're coming after you two.

It claims that the initiative's drafters included a provision that allows them to turn the tax on you, Legum wrote.

The initiative says that the tax can only be amended by the legislature through a two-thirds vote of both houses.
