Poole Town F.C.

So that's the Southern League this weekend.

I would tell you about Hanover United, Hanover Urec, Bournemouth Sports, Poole Town Ladies and Holtz United.

But I don't have Cliff's script here.

A little song break and maybe we'll have a little song break.

Shaquille Gwenge, I love him.

Yeah, he scored a hatload of goals for Poole Town, drawing immediate comparisons to Charlie Austin, who came from that route.

And he's already got a goal every other game until he got injured or suspended, I think he was the other week, actually.

So, yeah, a really team that are sort of quietly bubbling away.

That's our top ten to follow.

Join Cliff again on Monday night from 7 o'clock, where the focus will be on Poole Town.

Ladies, also Greg Masding reacting to what will be a brilliant win.

You know, just a standard...

In between and after, it's a close look at the top 10 to follow.

And as well as Wimborne, there were wins for Poole Town, Weymouth Town, Tommy's Dorchester, of course, Stars and the Holt Under-13s.

But first of all, we're going to talk to Tommy.

And I know you'd love to pay tribute to Wimborne's achievement in the FA Cup this year, because obviously you were a big part of Wembley's success in Cups with Wimborne Town.

Play three, one, three, four, eight against two.

We are top of the league.

I guess you've been following the happenings at Poole Town.

There's never a dull moment at Poole Town, is it? Let's be honest.

News from today.

Nat Kiyoma, the young Pompey defender, has had his loan spell cut at Poole Town quite short.

Keep an eye on that one.

Could he be included in the squad up at Molineux tomorrow night? Who knows? Also this week, I've been speaking to Dave Azzabari, part of the Talking Wolves YouTube channel, talking a little bit about Wolverhampton Wanderers and his thoughts on the sacking of Rob Edwards in the summer.

Um, we've already, um, covered Wimborne Town, their big game in the FA Cup this weekend.

Poole Town, um, and they had a hard-fought victory against Bracknell, uh, last, uh, weekend, um, after losing their managers, of course.

They've had two wins on the bounce there.

That's 24 from 11 played.

Uh, they play Bournemouth Poppies Reserves, um, who, like Westland, who they beat on Saturday, they are really struggling this season.

So hopefully another win for the Stars this weekend.

Poole Town Ladies, um, an away clash in the league at leaders Porter's Head on Sunday.

Porter's Head are unbeaten with a four from four.

The Cherries were back in action this weekend against Chelsea [clears throat] and Greg hopefully will be here at 7:30 to report on that.

Last week at our leading club, Poole Town, it was, let's say, rather unconventional week.

A super win on the Saturday against Evesham, and then an astonishing Tuesday morning announcement that shocked us all.

The news the joint managers, Joey and Pat Suraci, were leaving the club.

So w- now first of all, what did you do in youth football? Um, I had quite a late start to football.

Uh, I started at Broadstone and made my way through, um, [clicks tongue] going to like Bournemouth Sports, and then I made my way through playing with Sam at...

The, the main, the main part in the adult football was developing at, at Poole Town, wasn't it?

Yeah.

Yeah.

A big thank you to Pat Saracci there, outgoing, uh, one half of the outgoing management duo, uh, from, uh, Poole Town.

Um, Cliff, um, very nice, um, of Pat to, uh, send that message through.

And obviously-

Yeah, really good of him

... we, we wish them the best of luck, um, at where their next step is.

Uh, Duffy will speculate, um, on where that is, uh, right now, because for now it is all about, um, Poole Town, and they did bounce back, um, in midweek.

We called it the, the Jilted Lovers', um, Derby [laughs] against Gosport.
