Pontormo

Or he was like right around the Bridgman Riley sort of time.

And interesting i think his his like he's he has a relationship to phil hale which is like a fascinating uh a connection there but yeah he was one of those epic like uh our students league teachers and you know they would teach with like the the stick and the and like the the charcoal and a long stick on this on this big like it's huge like drawing thing that just to do the the demo that whatever they're demonstrating which is kind of wild to me yeah uh but anyway I would, I would have started copying like the, the Raphael's in there and the Pontormo's and the, uh, uh, Michelangelo's like, uh, uh, so that was like a, that was maybe like a first introduction to old master stuff.

And, um, a number of years later I read, I picked up that Aristides book and, uh, just looking at all of that and how serious she was taking everything and like her, just like the, the philosophical thought behind everything she's saying.

really kind of opened up something in me.

Very wonderful.
