Pomplamoose

woods.

The only cover I know of another one bites the dust is Pomplamoose.

Yeah, they're the only ones.

Which surprises me.

Great band.

And it's hard to cover such great recordings, such great performances of such classics.

But Pomplamoose did a really fun version, I must say.

A little husband-wife duo, multi-instrumentalists, but now I think they're expanding to have more people in the band and they have focused on covers.

And Lauren O'Connell, that's right.

Based out of Oakland, California, the collaboration brings together Dawn, best known as the lead vocalist of the popular indie pop duo Pomplamoose, who's been featured on her show many times alongside her husband, Jack Conte.

And O'Connell, who is an accomplished solo artist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer.

So, Isaac, why did you have my terrible friend? just

This is a smash-up.

Like a Pomplamoose smash-up.

We got Creed.

We got Prince, and we got Darius, Dontarius Rucker all in one.

So I like make a bunch of music.

And Pomplamoose just released an album last year and we booked a tour this year.

So we're going to tour West Coast, East Coast and Europe later this year, which I'm psyched about.

Yeah.

Anyway, sorry.

The last thing was batched production.

Um, worked really well for podcasts and Scary Pockets and Pomplamoose.

It's harder for original music.

Yep.

That guy is named Jack Conte and he is also the drummer for Pomplamoose.

Yes.

He's also the drummer for that too.

Yeah.

What's funny is I discovered Pomplamoose many, many years ago, and I've been a fan of theirs and actually supported them on Patreon, not knowing that I was directly subscribing to the CEO of Patreon's own Patreon page.

I also had a fun conversation.

I was at a hacking event, and we did a good talk.
