Polygenetic is usually combinatorial, but for the same LDL levels, it's a different risk.

In fact, I think monogenetic is...

Important, right? Because I would, and I chatted on Simon Hill's podcast with William Cromwell on this topic.

But what we realized was that even the very best studies can't really answer that question.

Because if we now believe that neurodivergence is a lifelong thing, like my life is differently at different times in the life course but essentially you know these are highly heritable things that are just your makeup across life then that thing that we do in longitudinal studies where we look at what came before the other doesn't make sense so actually these amazing longitudinal studies can't answer that question um so then what we did was we worked with a group in denmark and we looked at polygenic risk scores for adhd and um Polygenic risk scores, for anyone that's not familiar with that, is, you know, with our DNA, you have these tiny little differences in our DNA that they call SNPs.

And what you do is you basically kind of add up all of those differences into a score.

I mean, in some ways, it's just a bit like a big questionnaire, except it's all the different bits of your DNA added up.
