Polygamy

OK, so by the title on this video, on this podcast episode, you already know what we're talking about.

We're talking about Pastor Polygamous.

okay um pp i'm sorry not pt not pastor toby pp pastor polygamous yeah okay I don't even know where to begin genuinely with this.

The fact of the matter is, y'all, every time, especially in the Old Testament, that you see that there is polygamy.

Polygamous.

polygamous relationships yeah this is so out of my scope afraid my framework i can't even pronounce the words every time you see that there is a polyamorous relationship in the bible which is you know multiple partners yeah it comes with strife it comes

i mean um so here's another thing with that not saying i don't know their dynamics as far as the relationship but what about those polygamists that have many, many wives.

I mean, how are they taking care of their wives? Have you seen the movie Polygamist on Netflix?

No.

What is it about? Is it about multiple relationships?

Polygamist, the man who had like multiple wives.

Yes.

Wow.

And I think that's interesting that they talked about choices because so often, and you see this in so many polygamist groups, um, Where when they're in it, right, like when they were living this plural marriage, they all felt like they had the choice to be there.

And you see them like stand up for polygamy like on Capitol Hill and be like, this is our choice and this can be, you know, what women want to and this is the kind of family we wanted, da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da.

And defend it to the bitter end that it is their choice.

And sometimes it's not until it's in like their rearview mirror to be like, wow, I didn't have the choices that I have now.

Like we were his wives, but his kids were his soulmates.

And that just made me so sad for them and the whole situation because...

I think, you know, in plural marriage, in polygamy in general, the idea is building these large families.

And it is supposed to be very family-centric, right? And the idea that kids are important and families are important.

... um, like 16 other things, and then I'ma watch Polygamists for real, for real.

Like I'ma, I promise I'ma watch it.
