Okay, you give me L.A., then I'll give you New York.

Okay, Polo Lounge, too, by the way.

Polo Lounge is cool, man.

Have you ever been there? That

place is fun, yeah.

Every time I go, I've seen people there.

So that place for sure.

So I started with that idea.

And initially, in terms of designing, I was thinking something more Ralph Lauren, interior, more Polo Lounge, RL in Chicago.

But I love those environments.

They're very grown up.

High-floating power people are around that scene.

And if you or me get invited or invite someone to the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel to have a meeting...

I assure you, after that $50 chicken pot pie and McCarthy salad, so $100 meal just for me, just for you, something's happening there.

So that's a high, too.

And if it had a voice, it would be saying...

Lunch at the Polo Lounge.

Horror.

Like, scream.

I feel honored, John, that you invited me today.

And I, you know, knowing you since you're just a little boy and how driven and excited you've been.

I remember our lunch at the Polo Lounge.

I remember that we were going to do a reality show together.

I've been lucky enough to actually go to the Polo Lounge with him in Beverly Hills at the Beverly Hills Hotel, and have spent some time at his apartment down in LA.

What I, what I notice about him is that, uh, he's somebody who knows how to turn it on when he needs to, but he also needs that space alone for his ability to just, you know, regenerate himself.

What's the place at the Beverly Hills Hotel? The, the, The Palm? Is that what it's called?

Oh, that's where you go to, like, be seen.

The architect Paul Revere Williams created some of the most recognizable homes and buildings here in Los Angeles.

He designed the homes of Danny Thomas, Frank Sinatra, Barbara Stanwyck, also the 28th Street YMCA, the first AME Church of Los Angeles, the Polo Lounge in the Beverly Hills Hotel.

He chose the hotel's signature pink and green color scheme, and the hotel sign is written in his handwriting.

However, he wasn't allowed to walk through the entrance beneath that sign.
