You had posted, I guess, on behalf of the AAAS about a week ago, you had said, quote, complete political control over U.S. biomedical research, whether by executive order or OMB regulation, would harm patients, damage the economy and turn science from an engine of progress for all Americans into a tool for political leverage.

Explain to our listeners who, you know, may be thinking of this process as like a taxpayer funded process where they would like some accountability of how their dollars are spent.

Explain why what you're seeing is not the answer.
