I played up.

That was like one of the first tournaments where I decided to go to Poland and play for the Polish national team.

So, yeah, that's kind of the first kind of first time that people kind of saw me on the bigger, you know, kind of.

exposure level you know because england isn't the best basketball wise so yeah

But at the time, it wasn't great.

And there was even certain things that just didn't make sense, you know, even like for me to be a part of the national team, like pay in.

um it was expensive so you know with Polish national team uh you know basketball is you know a lot bigger there so um just the opportunities the exposure level was was a lot better so you know at the end of the day that's kind of one of the reasons and then of course um I would always go there for Christmas and holidays.

So I definitely have a lot of Polish in me.

They don't handle the tenses the same way we do.

When we started the English edition, the idea was pretty simple.

More and more foreign investors, funds and developers were looking at Poland and asking the same questions we had been answering in Polish for some time, and there was very little practical material in English explaining how things really work here.

Not on a slide at a conference, but on a real project, with a real grid operator, a real contractor and real deadlines.

Judging by the messages we received, the audience turned out to be exactly who we hoped for.

For a foreign investor, this stretch is particularly tricky, because it combines two things.

On the one hand, there are technical steps that look broadly similar everywhere in Europe, meaning pre-commissioning, cold and hot commissioning and side acceptance tests.

On the other hand, there is a Polish formal path that does not look quite like anything you know from Germany, the UK or the Nordics.

with its own sequence of notifications to the grid operator, its own testing rules, its own licensing and its own requirements for the people who are allowed to touch the installation.

What is, I'm always curious when we interview guys from, from overseas, uh, what is the, the basketball culture like in Poland? What is there, uh, Are there passionate fans? Like, is this something where you're watching NBA? Do you grow up rooting for specific clubs? Because when I think of Polish sports, my mind goes to Robert Lewandowski.

So when we see a guy like you coming from overseas, is it like you wanted to be Robert Lewandowski and then you grew to six foot nine? Or is it something where basketball was your passion growing up?
