Bob mentioned one of the key plays had to be Hefner's ability to tag up and move to second base because they intentionally walked Willie Stargell.

My name is Clayton Fletcher and I am in diverse... hot, humid Tampa Bay, Florida.

Yes, I'm in Florida.

I'm headlining this weekend at SideSplitters in Wesley Chapel.

But as you'll hear, it all fell apart because she was miserable, and she didn't know what she wanted out of life.

She quit law, became a very successful poker player, but then descended into drug addiction for nearly three years, lost everything, rebuilt her life, and eventually became co-CEO of a biotech company, and eventually the CEO of the Astera Institute, a $3 billion foundation, and she's only 42 years old.

How did she do it? Her answer is agency.

She has great advice about how to be more agentic in your own life with memorable phrases like, "Stare into the abyss," "Don't communicate like a movie character," and the "Moat of low status." She also has some wisdom to share about purpose, love, religion, and how giving some control over your life over to others willingly might be the most high-agency thing you can do.

That makes caged animals stop eating.

And f- there are lots of those people, but very few of them are, go to the lengths that you went to to change your life and make this a, you know, like, take this big risk.

And so there's a sense in which that action to take LSD or to, and to quit and become a poker player, uh, it is, that was actually a quite high agency thing to do given how you were feeling and where you were.

I think that's fair.

Which is instead of, because a lot of- Do you

literally have poker.com?

We don't own that, but someone does, but it's not an active thing.

But like- Are you

You're just putting your head in the sand otherwise.

And yeah, I've seen the same thing with, uh, Poker players, there's journals that'll keep all your entire hand history and, you know, keep track of your results very well.

There's software you can use to keep track of your live sessions, the results you've had.

Same thing.
