Pokémon Stadium

Yeah.

Dude, the opening trailer, like, two years ago for Champions, when they were showcasing everyone, like, playing Pokemon battles through the generations, and it starts from the 2D, and then it goes to, like, you know, Pokemon Stadium, and it just, you know, it elevates all the way to Pokemon Champions.

I really, the dream for me was, like, Oh, we can simulate Gen 2 battles online.

That is so cool.

Come on, what's going to be dangerous to a Fearow? Fear is in its name.

Pokemon Stadium says, a Pokemon that enjoys flying.

It uses its broad wings to adroitly catch the wind to soar elegantly into the sky.

I love hearing you use the word adroitly.

Not sure what 10-year-old knows what that word means, but Pokemon Stadium wanted to make sure we knew.

Pokemon Gold says, it shoots itself suddenly high into the sky, then plummets down in one fell swoop to strike its prey.

That sounds terrifying.

Not just for the RPG series, but you could do Stadium and stuff.

You could put all that in there.

It'd just be cool to click on a Pokemon app and just be...

But the really cool one is with the Transfer Pak.

You can unlock additional stuff by inserting into the N64 Transfer Pak, you know, normally used for inserting game, uh, Pokemon games in, uh, i- into the N64 controller, so that way you can, like, play them and transfer Pokemon in Pokemon Stadium.

Uh, some other games used it, and specifically this uses...

So if you put a, uh, w- the Zelda Oracle games into the Transfer Pak, it unlocks bonus stuff that normally you would have to get by doing other things within the ROM hack.

And so by creating this little sort of garden for the competitive players to play in, it allows them to do other things in the single player games without hurting the competitive field.

This isn't a perfect comparison, but it makes me think of the rentals from Pokemon Stadium-

... where, like, the way that they designed them back when there were only 150 to 200 Pokemon was that inst- like, the higher evolution chains would get, like, worse moves, but would also have less EVs and such, whereas the lower evolution chains would have higher EVs, such that an entire evolution chain was meant to represent three different play styles of one mon ostensibly.

... and, and, and collect your stuff, and do all the, like, all the gotcha game mechanic kinda things.

But to me, it's almost like pla- also playing Pokemon Stadium.

I liked Stadium, but I need more than just fighting them.

Just the battle, yeah.

Plus, I'm the collector.
