Which I don't love, but I get it.

And also there's arguments there about connecting to Pokemon Home and all that sort of crap.

But I just think it's...

I think the one thing on this topic that is really telling is they had that chart up of all the Zelda games you can play on the Switch.

If their shadow dropped early, that's fine, but they could also announce those in a Pokemon Presents.

Going off of that, they could also talk about any sort of promotion or like any sort of connection to Pokemon Home with those games.

That's something that could be included in this, right? They are probably not going to announce bank closing, but what they could do in this Pokemon Presents is talk about how like Celebi is going to be...

Yeah, because I don't think FireRed and LeafGreen currently connect to home, but they will connect to home.

you know, even if it's in like a new experience.

And unfortunately we're in a period right now where it's like, uh, Yeah, not only have we not gone back to the Johto or Unova regions, but we also are very soon going to be losing the interconnectivity between those games.

Really, just all of the Unova and Johto games, all of them, are going to no longer be compatible with Pokemon Home.

And that's a shame, but I really think the way out of this, I think, unfortunately, the only way out of this is going to be waiting a couple more years for DS ports of Black and White, Black 2, White 2, HeartGold, SoulSilver.

Now, you could get it through some of those third-party aftermarket stores that weren't officially sanctioned by Nintendo, but as far as official ways to get Pokemon Bank, you were officially cut off.

Now, to Nintendo's credit, they did make Pokemon Bank free at that point, so you didn't have to pay the subscription, and you could transfer Pokemon freely up to Pokemon Home, which is what's used on the Switch.

But they dropped a bombshell this past month, that being that as of late February of next year, I think it's like the 27th or something like that, or 26th, Pokemon Bank is going end of life.

It will be no longer supported, and that is very, very depressing because it kneecaps and cuts off... every generation of Pokemon from Gen 3 all the way through Gen 7.

It's based on what's locally on your 3DS's storage.

So there's obviously going to be less, but still give you the functionality to just deal with that local storage and have that operate as Pokemon Bank.

Yes, you still won't be able to transfer to Pokemon Home in the newer games, but at least you'll maintain the full interoperability between Gen 6, Gen 7, and Gens 3 through 5.

You'll still maintain that entire transfer cycle that you could continue, but alas, that doesn't seem to be the case.

So I'm going to try that out.

And I remember early arguments in our YouTube comments, or on Slack, or in Discord is like, "This isn't a big deal because everyone plays Pokemon Go.

So just do a, do a legendary raid, do your, do your legendary Landorus, transfer it to Pokemon Home, then transfer it into Pokemon Champions." But then a huge market, uh, that I would bring up would be, like, China.

There's a lot of players in China.
