Movies can be rip-offs and still be good though, because we just recorded Point Break for Movie Buffs, and I kept...

Because I've seen Fast and Furious, like, way more times than the original, I was just like, Fast and Furious just ripped off Point Break.

But it doesn't take away from my enjoyment-

fella looks, he looks like something out of Point Break.

Well, maybe Jim Power did look like that once upon a time as well.

But no...

There have been several attempts over the decades to bring a Hawaii Five-0 movie to the big screen, but none came to fruition.

Deadline.com reports today AMC and French broadcaster Canal Plus are going with God after greenlighting the Point Break television series.

This comes after Deadline revealed in December that the Breaking Bad broadcaster was developing a series based on the iconic Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves sort of heist thriller.

The series is set in the present day, over 30 years after the events of the film, and centered on a new heist crew which hides the notorious ex-president's gang, while the FBI must rely on a mysterious ex-pro surfer with a checkered mask to infiltrate them.

You keep talking about movies and I'll keep listening because I'm enjoying that bit.

Point Break, the first time you see the masks and the first robbery, that opening scene of Point Break when they run into the bank for the first time and you see Ronald Reagan in the mask of Patrick Swayze, it's brilliant.

In Greenland, it's not an epic film, but in Greenland when they're leaving because they've been called because the world's going to be hit by the meteorite and the lady jumps in front of the car and that screaming scene, take my kid, the rest of the film you could leave, but that five minutes...

It's a great opening.

But I, I didn't care for it a ton when I saw it when I was young.

Even if you say it's a good movie, it is still vastly inferior to the great Point Break, and that was the debate-

... is Keanu versus Arnold.

And Keanu was just killing it.

Just killing it.

Point Break is the best.

I give up.

I just think that he doesn't have the s- that, that same, um, maybe approach, if you know what I'm talking about.

'Cause, like, if you look at "Speed," right? And then you look at, like, "John Wick," two different characters obviously, but then you see a movie like "Good Fortune" or anything else he's been in recently, it's not the same as, like, those early '90 movies like "Point Break" or, like, "Speed."

Yeah.

I think, I think so much of it, and, and maybe that was maybe the, the pivot from him doing things like "Bill and Ted" where he's such a big personality to what he's doing now where, where he's, he's so much of his work in "John Wick" is, is silent.

I've seen Bad Boys, I've seen, um, obviously John Woo's Hard Boiled, but, like, this is a movie that, that was a big impact on cinema.

It was a big deal in, in the '90s, maybe the early 2000s, and then now it's just, like, maybe 'cause John Wick, maybe 'cause, like, when you think of Keanu Reeves now, you don't really think of Speed, you think of the John Wick movies.

But I guess maybe 'cause I'm older, I always look at it and I think, "Oh, Point Break, Speed is what, and The Matrix-

Hmm
