You know, he was John Singleton, created Snowfall.

He created, he made Poetic Justice.

Pac played lucky as the post office man and poetic justice so they said i was like hamish i thought that was dope and realistic you know i'm saying it wasn't no crips you couldn't just raw i don't give a fuck if that was your cousin brother if you was a crip you could not just roll up in blood set like that you couldn't just roll up over there like that so i liked it how they kept it true to form he had to sneak in you got um Big Daddy out there playing his little harmony.

And then when they get in there, they in there busting the shit.

You know what I'm saying? Artillery, he laying the track down.

But I mean, Tupac also was a pretty good actor.

Like, he'd been in a number of movies, including starring opposite Janet Jackson in Poetic Justice.

And the other thing about Tupac, he was this collection of paradoxes.

You know, his parents had both been Black Panthers, but he sort of didn't really know his dad.

But, you know, as far as deep into, like, you know, how all that shit happened, I didn't know.

I, I had met Pac on, uh, well, seen him, uh, on, he was filming, uh, what's that? Poetic Justice and shit.

But I, I g- I really wasn't, you know, I really didn't know too much about that.

I found out that shit, like, watching BET and shit, you know what I'm saying? Later, you know.

So Tupac now at this point, you know, he has juice in his back pocket.

He has Poetic Justice being filmed.

He has an album.

He's kind of rising, he's on the rise.

They airbrushed all the tattoos off of him.

And I feel like in a lot of ways, This is going to sound weird.

I feel like in a way, Poetic Justice, the PR for Poetic Justice in particular, was an effort to airbrush the tattoos of Tupac.

And I'm not saying John Singleton was a great director.

Then came Poetic Justice in 1993.

Cousin, what's up? He played Lucky opposite Janet Jackson, another side of Tupac.

He's not Bishop.

Sometimes you open it expecting to find an old record or an old movie ticket, and sometimes you open it and realize you're holding a piece of somebody's life that still means something decades later.

So let me throw this one out there.

When you think about Tupac, what's the first thing that comes to mind? Is it a song? Is it one of his movies? Is it juice, poetic justice, above the rim, gridlock? Maybe it's an interview.

Maybe it's something you remember seeing on MTV back in the day.

I didn't do a Pac one because I

couldn't get a fourth favorite one.

I mean, I did Above the Rim, Juice, Poetic Justice, just because he was kind of playing a total opposite in that one.
