Plesiosaurus

So, yeah, maybe it's a big brontosaurus thing or whatever Nessie is.

Plesiosaurus.

Plesiosaur is what people think, which is like a long neck.

It's a brontosaurus with flippers instead of legs.

Perhaps the most famous example of that is, well, what is a five-letter word beginning with K? What is a five-letter word, three of which of the letters are K? Chris Achilleos' cover for Invasion of the Dinosaurs is certainly eye-catching with that little embellishment.

He does a similar thing for his cover with Carnival of Monsters, where he eschews the bright colours of Borgen Schörner or even the terrifying Drashigs, and instead gives us a very dramatic depiction of the Plesiosaurus attack on the SS Bernice, something that takes up all of about 30 seconds in the story, and frankly this looks more dramatic than a CSO model on screen.

One that I really love, that really says, this is a fantastic, exciting story.

How come Archelon was so big even though he didn't have many predators? So I think it probably had a few predators.

So when we think about like the Mosasaurus, Plesiosaurus, Tylosaurus, the waters are just a dangerous place for any kind of creature.

I think anybody was, even Mosasaurus.

I mean, if you had something that was really hungry and it kind of came up on you, I think anything would attack anything down there.

Many, many years ago, in the first season, we talked about 200 years of Plesiosaurus, which would have been in 2024.

Yes.

And we haven't done that since then, and you know I love my plesiosaurs, even though I believe Mary Anning did discover ichthyosaurs before the plesiosaurs, if I'm not mistaken, but I don't know 100%.

I really don't know.

I've opened my mind to that over the years, Mosasaurus, Plesiosaurus, and Pliosaurus.
