Plebe Summer

I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah.

So yeah, boxing was cool because, um, actually in plebe summer, I was able to like validate part of boxing.

Cause I participated in the smoker and, and then I, I'm like hazy on how that all went down.

But then when I did YP squadron freshman year, I validated, um, yeah, the NSS class for you.

I joined the gospel choir when I was a, was I was a plebe? I think I was a plebe when I joined gospel choir.

You know, it's actually funny how I ended up doing that.

I grew up Catholic and, you know, I quickly realized that if you didn't go to like a service during plebe summer, that you were going to be like left behind, like cleaning and delivering laundry.

I don't know if you guys probably went to church.

And one of the questions I had for my female classmates was, Have you ever been accused by a man of taking a spot that belonged to a more qualified man? And they all started laughing before I was halfway finished with the question.

So I rephrase, when was the first time that you were asked? And it turns out like plebe summer or before for a few of us.

So I think that, you know, the more things change, the more they seem to stay the same.

Yeah, 100%.

So we want to make sure we bring in people.

We want to make sure we use them well and make them feel valued.

And that is, I feel like it's just leadership 101, right? It's like what we learned on day one of Plebe Summer.

It's basic human leadership.
