For today's Big Bite presented by First State Bank, we're doing a neighborhood profile on Pleasant Ridge.

That is a neighborhood in Cincinnati where I lived for a number of years, and I feel like it doesn't get the attention as much as other neighborhoods on both the east side and the west side get.

It is pretty centrally located, and it's been seeing some pretty significant changes over the last few years.

The idea that it is not in the spotlight as often as, say, Hyde Park, or Over-the-Rhine, or Price Hill, is something that the Pleasant Ridge Development Corporation is leaning into for its strategic development plan.

It was published last year, trying to be a comfortable third place for people to be able to go to between work and home, a go-to spot with an inviting atmosphere.

The Pleasant Ridge business district is basically centered around the intersection of Montgomery and Ridge, really packed with a surprising variety of spots.

Let me list some stuff off to you.

It really starts in Evanston, but there's a road in Walnut Hills that leads into Montgomery Road.

And from Evanston, it goes into Norwood and Pleasant Ridge.

From there into Kennedy Heights, Silverton, sort of Deer Park, Kenwood, and then out into the suburbs.

That is an area that has seen steady growth for quite some time.
