Play! Pokémon

The promo apparently isn't going to be completely trapped in Italy.

Pokemon says participating Play Pokemon stores will also have the card during the festival weekend, with activities and play sessions connected to the promotion.

So, before anybody starts paying ridiculous international resale prices because they think they need to book a flight to Tuscany, check the participating store situation first.

This is exactly the kind of card where the initial secondary market price could get stupid simply because collectors don't understand the distribution yet.

Today we have illustration contests.

We've talked about artists winning competitions and having their work printed onto official cards, but this wasn't draw Pikachu.

This was go play Pokemon Snap and take the best picture you can.

Contestants would take photographs inside the game, print the image using a Pokemon Snap printing station, attach the picture to a postcard, and mail it into the contest.
