Penalties, even though Wake really had more penalties in this game, and they probably suffered more from penalties, not a clean game from that standpoint for Miami, 7 for 75, and just some very, very crippling ones when you felt you had some momentum.

The play calling, that was what people were talking about leaving the game.

Again, I haven't watched back the game.

Some stuff I can try to at least guess as to what they might have been thinking.

I wish one of the reporters would have asked Mario just to at least walk through his thought process because even decisions you disagree with or maybe the wrong decision, there's usually a thought process to it.

That one, I cannot understand what the thought process was on that one.

The play calling, obviously going horizontal.

I think in the second half with all those three and outs, four consecutive at least at one time.

I have no doubt about Bo Nix.

In fact, the only thing that gives me any pause whatsoever about Bo's outlook now is actually tied to the play calling situation and Davis Webb, because it was just so bad.

It was so oblivious of, I mean, it's kind of crazy that they had so much time to plan for that game and prepare.

And that's what they came up with.

You'll see an extreme improvement in week two.

What I am more genuinely concerned about was the play calling and the Davis Webb stuff because – Again, shockingly, Zach, they had all the time in the world to prepare for the Chiefs, and that's what they turned in.

Uh, speaking of wide receivers, I'm gonna mention Chris Bell and then do my little, my little spiel, 'cause there's a lot of complaining among Dolphin fans about the play calling, and it's because they should've run the ball more.

Can we stop with this? They ran the ball, and I've, I've tweeted this earlier on, uh, Wednesday, their first four first down plays were all runs.

Sean Payton is one of the best play callers of recent NFL history, and if Davis Webb is good enough to take the play calling duties away from Sean Payton, you can't let them just take Jaylen Waddle away.

And then on top of that, when he did finally get a nice look on a key third down when this was still a game, he dropped the ball.

Just I- I'm, I am, uh, really in my feelings about Jaylen Waddle's Denver debut.

This is, this is a, like, the, everything the Broncos did tonight was, like, a worst case scenario for if you were a Broncos fan with anxiety heading into the season, between the offense no-showing, again, the defense playing far below its standard, and, uh, we can get into this in a minute, like, uh, your early return on play calling and the whole transition from Sean Peyton to Davis Webb.

There's no way you feel good about that right now.

I was wired.

I was wired, and I think you and I just discussed something before we began this program, which to me is the most significant item of everything that we saw last night, and that is what we saw with the play calling, the player deployment, the execution, the talent level, it pretty much justified the type of optimism that you and I and many of the people who have been around this team for the last seven months have seen under John Harbaugh.

It doesn't necessarily mean they're gonna win 14 games, it doesn't necessarily mean they're gonna make the playoffs, but what it does do, it provided us tangible evidence in a real game, not a preseason game, not a scrimmage, not a joint practice.

It provided us legitimate, tangible evidence that what we have seen over these last several months is something you can chew on.
