And then also, the other really cool feature, if that game supports Xbox Play Anywhere, well, then that means you can now play that game on a PC also, which is also awesome.

So one of the things that we talked about was the idea of if you don't have a drive, for example, you have the Series S like I have here, um, would you possibly be able to take your disc to a friend's house and log into your account and claim the license to your disc? Well, no, since the last, since the last episode, I picked up the Diablo IV Lord of Hatred expansion, and I'm absolutely loving it.

It's been really fun.

Um, I'm very, very annoyed that while I love Xbox Play Anywhere, it does not apply to DLC.

So this expansion, I bought it on Xbox because that's where all of my friends play, but I also like to play on my handheld gaming PC, my Legion Go, and, um, I ended up buying it on that too.

I still don't like, it has made me laugh.

There's been one big review over the last, I'm not going to say what game, where... folks were like oh i'll have this version because you know i get the play anywhere version i'll have the xbox code and the pc code and we're all diving in and there's a huge contingent people like where's the steam code and it's like well why did you request steam like you get you get console and pc like what xbox bad

but there's another one coming that um the steam version your save won't carry over to retail And people are like, so I just can't review it, I guess? I'm like, well, for this one, the Xbox version is Play Anywhere.

And they're like, huh? What's that? I'm like, wait, what do you mean, what's that? But I digress.

But Sony doing what they're doing is definitely making people who love physical start to question whether or not Sony is going to be the future of their gaming habits.

And I think Xbox has 100% of an opportunity to be able to capitalize on Play Anywhere and physical games.

And the collector's editions that they've been putting out all have physical games with them, which don't cost $400 and come with a stupid little statue.

true you're right they do come with a statue but the steps the statue is actually so yeah yeah they are they are which by the way uh if you want that gta statue i'm not telling you where to go but there are places to find uh download codes to 3d print that

So I saw one for PlayStation and then one for Dawnwalker, which did clearly state it was an Xbox Play Anywhere title.

I really did enjoy it.

After taking a break from COD for the first time in a really long time.

um it's cool to see cod being back in the in the world the ether um the question i was asking uh god i can't remember what it was um i think we was asking if it's play anywhere and i think they confirmed it is play anywhere on my chat because i was like oh it'd be interesting to know if it's play anyway if i can buy it on pc and play on my xbox um it is i believe they confirmed it is play anywhere which is good again obviously it not being in game pass obviously a huge loss for game pass but i'm i'm I'm now coming back around on Xbox with this whole Play Anywhere stuff.

It's on Xbox Play Anywhere, right? So I was reviewing it on the plane on the Xbox Ally, and I've been rev- reviewing on Xbox Series X.

I, I think 4 out of 10 is just dishonest.

Mm.

It's not, it doesn't have a better system.

You know, cloud saves aren't free, for example.

Doesn't have things like Play Anywhere.

It doesn't have things like, uh, you know, all the other features that Xbox has that I kind of take for granted now, and I think a lot of us as Xbox fans take for granted.

Playing on my OLED laptop, it really does visually pop in all the best ways, and I could really see this being the perfect handheld game, with it coming to Nintendo Switch and Steam at launch, and Xbox and PlayStation launching further down the line in 2026.

I haven't heard any news regarding Play Anywhere support, but this would be a great little title for Xbox Ally owners alongside any Steam Deck or Switch owners.

Performance is also consistently solid at 60 FPS, though a few busier levels saw some frame drops, but this is overall a polished package that should scale well to more modest devices.

Playing MonoWave in so many ways reminded me of the golden age of these types of platformers.
