Archery might not be the first sport that comes to mind when you think about school athletics, but it's giving students across Missouri a chance to compete, build some confidence, develop skills.

An archery center in Platte City is working to introduce more young people to the sport.

Amy Davis joins us to talk about what archery offers Missouri students and how schools can get involved.

So from the text line, unfortunately, Platte City decided to keep their three cameras, even though there was a lot of outcry.

And that's the other thing, too, is you've got three cameras.

Three? Where are they? Let's see.

Just out of curiosity.

Where are they in Platte City? They've got to be near the interstate, right? Yeah.

That would be the logical place to put them.

I don't know.

Don't really want to go downtown.

But I'm, like, 20 minutes to Liberty, about 20 minutes to Platte City, I'm, like, 30 minutes to Kearney.

I'm like, I just kinda wanna dominate this one area.

It's just like-

First, there was the aforementioned gunfight in Joplin in April that left two officers dead.

Then, two months later, on July 20th, there was another shootout at the cabins of the Red Crown Tourist Court in Platte City, Missouri.

Nobody was killed, but Buck Barrow was shot and gravely injured.

Then, just four days-

Yeah, we were coming back from – no, what was it? Regional – not regionals.

whatever it was called regionals main event then you go to worlds of fun then we would drive back and we broke down in platte city and we had to stay the night in the next day or whatever and i remember sitting in the hotel room uh the nfl draft was that weekend we were watching the nfl draft of all things um because i remember is like me you Nick Messing.

But, yeah, I do remember that car breaking down in Platte City.
