OK. on okay so yeah we had our public open house meeting on September 2nd had a good turnout plenty of people who came with interest a lot of just curiosity just about the process in general questions so yeah we have some there weren't a ton of comments from that session but we have some of them and we'll talk about those today And then we'll also talk about today two things, which are the proposed map changes and the proposed text changes for the land use plan update.
speaker_2PANELIST
1:17
So this would be the sort of the final approval from the land use committee before it goes to the next steps, the zoning commission, and then it'll go to the board of trustees and then eventually the regional planning commission so we can start with the map changes on the first page um we will go through all of these individually but i just listed them all out with what the original land use is and then what the land use would be changing to so each of these are the proposed map changes that we've talked about so to start we have the silver spring house parking lot this one was more of a housekeeping item um because it was the zoning matches and it was made into a parking lot so we just extended that um i think we confirmed that change a while back but you can confirm it again So if there's no comments there, we have the home site in the McCluskey site these are on the same page but they are separate separate parcels in separate sites so we had the first we discussed at home site that was the retail land use and that is being proposed for the plan to mixed-use employment so the plan to mixed-use employment includes some combination of office retail the plan makes use employment also includes light industrial it does not include that residential component and then on the other the opposite side of fields Ertl the southern side sort of started with that corner of Union Cemetery the McCluskey site and then just taking that whole portion from Montgomery to make that triangle and Um, that is being proposed from retail to general mixed use.
speaker_2PANELIST
3:32
So general mixed use would, um, allow for some combination of office, retail, residential, um, the, um, recreational is included in that.
speaker_2PANELIST
3:49
Um, like we discussed, it wouldn't, The intention of the mixed use is to be a combination of, and it does say that, so it's not just going to be one of those things.
