But yeah, I found Gris to be okay.

I actually was thinking back, and I haven't played many... other kind of shorter 2d puzzle platformers because you like you said you tend to dive into these and tick off a few throughout the year um any comparisons because like when i see like you know never's got you got your companion which is which is never um I see something like Planet of Lana where you've got this little creature along too.

Are there any other games that you'd kind of liken Never 2, at least from the outside looking in, and you can tell us why they're not the same or of the same quality? Because you've played a fair more of these games than I have.

um you're speaking specifically about like 2d games

Also, you know, you look at that and you're like, all right, the kid's dying, or the deer's somber.

Who knows, maybe it'll surprise you, right?

In terms of a partner in a 2D game, I'd say Planet of Lana.

It's probably the only other one I can think of, although that had you using your little robot friend to help with the stealth and the puzzles.

And I just think that sounds so cool.

And you've got games like Planet of Lana where you're set in this sort of post-apocalyptic world where a civilization used to be.

And I think that something like The Wild Robot would be a really interesting story to play through and has all of the tellings of a game, I feel.

Again, was quite sleep-deprived when I watched it and was basically asleep for half of it.

Nice.

I really still need to watch that, but it sounds pretty good.

I like Planet of Lana.

I'm a fan.

Takashi got his start doing a lot of work with Kevin Kiner going back, I don't know what it was, 20 some odd years ago, although a lot of you might not have noticed that.

Instead, what he's gonna be the best known for is scoring the live action Avatar: The Last Airbender TV series, as well as the games Planet of Lana I and II, among a number of other things.

Takashi and I planned on talking about Planet of Lana II, which came out earlier this year, I think in March, but its score only just released.

Actually, when he and I were doing our interview, it hadn't come out yet.

I think it came out about a week, two weeks ago.

Really cool score.

He does a great job expanding the scope of the score, the breadth, the diversity of music, adding in additional genres, and adding to the sonic palette.

We get into all of that, but even though this is a 45 or so minute interview, Planet of Lana, Avatar end up being kinda smaller portions of it.
