kept trying to make Planet of Giants.

Tried forever.

And then they finally did it.

So we're getting essentially a new Doctor Who format introduced here, the three-episode story.

I know Planet of Giants was three episodes, but that was filmed as four episodes and edited down.

This was actually made to be three episodes, but what I think is interesting about that is it feels like it was also filmed as four episodes and edited down because...

There is so much going on in this story.

Planet of Giants.

You've got your historicals, you got your futures, you got your invasion earths.

Yeah, are there, uh, there is...

And so that had to be remounted between episodes three and four of The Daleks.

And then we shoot an extra episode of Planet of Giants-

Yeah

... which gets edited together.

So there's, there's other sto- there's other ones that could've made this list that...

Like The Web Planet, like Planet of Giants.

But I honestly think they-

Curse of Fenric? Oh, no.

And obviously, again, most of these stories I've only seen once.

So but it's like, the Romans I've definitely re-watched, as I re-watched it for season two, but, but the fact that it's already slipped out my memory again, it's like I can, I can remember Planet of Giants, Rescue, Dalek Invasion a lot better than I can remember that.

I mean, it makes me sad, 'cause it's one of my all-time favorite comfort Doctor Who stories.

But each to their own.

They ditched the boring stuff like Masters of Luxor, The Robots, The Hidden Planet, Beyond the Sun, all of those kinds of ideas.

Um, they should have ditched Planet of Giants, but somehow that turned up later.

Well, no, there was multiple attempts at that.
