Those, those are the big four.

Waddy, it, it's the only pl- I, it's the only place on an interstate I know of that doesn't have cell service, is that little two miles in Waddy.

That's the one that's kinda scratched my head, 'cause that is a, you know, that Waddy-Patona exit has a lot of business.

That's a good business, you know, for gas and a McDonald's.

They were looking for new programming languages for the Department of Defense, but the general explained that obviously the DoD was not interested in, quote, "artificially simplified languages such as Pascal," unquote.

Now, what does the general want? Naturally complicated languages such as PL/I? [laughing] Artificially complicated languages such as Algol 68? [laughing] Military logic is very queer.

And, and, and there was a lot talked about, about making it easier.

I mean, that was the entire point of BASIC, to be frank, right? Was that it was easier than Assembler or some of the other languages we had at the time, you know, Fortran, APL, PL1, you know, these kind of insane languages that did specific things.

BASIC was meant to be easier for non-programmers.

Right.

And so you heard a lot about it in schools and, and things like that.

And, and, and there was a lot talked about, about making it easier, right? I mean, that was the entire point of BASIC, to be frank, right?
