The OTA is not available right now for the Pixel 11 series.

If you have the Pixel 10 and older, right back to Pixel 6, you should be able to get this.

This is the first of many updates that will come to Pixel 11, but it might be one of the final ones for the Pixel 6.

So we could probably pull one out this episode for the Pixel 6 very soon because, hey, it's a sad time for a Pixel 6 owner if you're getting your last update and it's not that comprehensive.

But boy, are you going to love the upgrade you get? Because whatever phone follows the Pixel 6 will be better.

Google did patch this as part of the September 2026 Pixel update, which brings devices to the 2026-09-05 security patch level.

That same update addresses 110 total Pixel vulnerabilities, including 12 remote code execution flaws and 89 privilege escalation bugs across the kernel, bootloader, telephony stack, GPU, Bluetooth, NFC, and even trusted execution environment.

Among the critical severity fixes are CVE-2026-53-55318 and CVE-2026-55343.

Both are remote code executions in the IP multimedia subsystem.

For any organization managing a Pixel fleet, you want to push this update through MDM immediately.

Supported devices span the Pixel 6 through the Pixel 11 family, plus the tablet and Fold models.

But Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro owners should note those handsets reach end of life in October.

Pixel 4 and Pixel 5, and then Pixel 6 with the first generation Tensor and 7 Pro was like an evolution on the Pixel 6.

Like, okay, if we kind of keep treading this direction, we could really do something interesting.

And I think something kind of disruptive, oh no, Pixel 8 was different.

Um, I thought, so I thought that we'd follow this up by, uh, I've been, uh, So I'm upgrading from the Pixel 7 Pro.

If you think about it, I'm actually kind of upgrading from the Pixel 6 Pro because the 7 Pro was just a stopgap.

It was like a backup phone.

And I had to switch from my Pixel 6 when it broke.
