Seeing that afternoon sunshine really warming things up for us.

Our highs tomorrow in the East Bay mid 60s for Berkeley, low 70s in Oakland and for our inland communities, temperatures reaching the low 80s in Pittsburgh, 78 for Concord and 77 degrees tomorrow for the high in Walnut Creek.

Now over the next seven days, temperatures are going to be a bit cooler today and tomorrow.

Pittsburgh police chief says it was a quote serious failure and quote that allowed a suspect to sneak a firearm into the city's booking facility and shoot an officer.

That's after 31 year old Michael Arthur Sanchez Martin.

allegedly hid a firearm under his clothes last week while he was arrested and booked at the Pittsburgh police station.

Chief Phil Gaylor says Martin hid the gun in a toilet and later concealed it under a jail blanket before he punched and shot an officer.

Pittsburgh police say that officer is recovering and police are investigating the incident.

Authorities say a third person has died in association with this year's annual Burning Man festival while being transported in an ambulance.

Pittsburgh, California police say an officer was booking a suspect when the two got into an altercation and a gun was fired.

Both men were struck.

The East Bay Times reports the man snuck the gun in.
