Couple lo-fi headlines.

One of Pismo's best-known oceanfront restaurants, it has been ordered to close.

A lot of folks thought Ventana Grill was closing for a number of other reasons.

It's been a minute since I had been there, but they used to have a pretty hot brunch.

We're kind of wrapping up our show this evening with this final segment.

And, Russ, I want to let you know we got a caller who asked, who should they call to thank for the excellent road work slash paving on 101 along Pismo Beach area?

No, is that for real? Yeah, it's for real.

Yep.

And I know they've talked about being a, uh, uh, you know, having a hotel and convention center and things, but, but you look at, uh, Pismo and Avila and Moro, they have all this co- But Grover, even though it's Grover Beach, you don't have a lot of beach, right?

No, and, and that's always the interesting part, too, is that, that, yeah, you know, La Sage, that area-

Right

Just there's a lot of good things they've done.

However, yes, the high-rises, I understand they have to do that because they're landlocked and, and there's a limited amount of, of open space, so that's why they chose probably down there on Grand Avenue.

But why couldn't they have made them a little more homelike rather than like LA? For example, Pismo Beach, downtown right along, uh, Price Canyon or Price Street there-

Mm-hmm.

And it's like, that's not your job.

Your job is to collect all of the evidence possible, do everything you can, and then make... determinations based off that not narrow what evidence you're going to collect based on what you think is most likely you know what i mean yeah now while investigators were circling the white court property which again is ruben's house and try and keep this straight as we go through the story white court is ruben's house east branch street is susan's house While they're circling the White Court property, Paul had spent the summer working at a gas station in Pismo Beach.

Late that summer, Stan and Denise Smart, Kristen's parents, drove down from Stockton, California, where they lived, and they pulled into this gas station.

Did you know that every time, according to one estimate, every time you hit the space bar on your computer, an average of about 600,000 other people in the world do it at the same time? Whoa.

I love it.

I did, yeah.

Central Coast, born and raised, Pismo Beach, that whole area.

I was going to the beach and surfing at the pier there as earliest memories.

And then, yeah, going down to the dunes and, you know, hiking out there and just cruising.

So anytime that I would have to go surf, I'd be like, I'm going to go swim and I'm going to go like to train, right? Because I'd be in bigger, gnarlier waves.

I was traveling to, you know, Indonesia and Australia and Hawaii and stuff.

And you're kind of trying to synthesize that experience in our, you know, mellow Pismo Beach kind of slop.

Right.
