Piping Live! Festival

And that's put out for them by a company called Inner Ear.

Great company, by the way, which provides a lot of coverage for other piping events and for the National Piping Centre and for Piping Live and indeed for the Glenfiddich Championship coming up later this month.

More on that soon.

So that's who covers the Friday and the Saturday live stream was always available from the BBC on its website.

But it's not the Glasgow I'm used to.

You know, over the, I don't know, how many years I've been going to the World Championships and piping live, it's always been an overwhelmingly positive experience.

And for myself this past year, it absolutely, again, was an extremely positive experience.

I was able to walk around the streets of Glasgow, visit bars and clubs and stuff and check out the music that's being played and just had the best time.

So, yeah.

It's a thing, but has it affected this year's World Championships? I do believe it has.

There's been a lot of piping folk who have travelled for the World Championships on Piping Live and have been affected by the crime in Glasgow.

So, Weekly Droneer, your suggestion there about moving the world from Glasgow to Edinburgh...

Now, I know that might cause a lot of people to switch off, but yeah, we don't have any listener mail, we don't have weekly drone, any of that stuff, but genuinely, this is the first opportunity I've had to speak to you after the World Championships.

Now, we had our World Championship wrap-up pod, we've had our two on-the-ground reports at this stage, plus we've had our episode 500 of Piping Live, Wow, what a show that was.

We haven't really had an opportunity to discuss that, have we? But we will, because on next week's Big Rap Show podcast, we're going to be catching up on everything.

All right? Now, can I talk about Weekly Drone before we get into the action of this week's show? You can go to our website, by the way.

Thank you all for clicking on support.

And as a thank you, you folks have been treated to a lot of juicy extras back there on Patreon.

There's a lot of performance videos, interviews, and all of that stuff from the worlds and piping live that will never see the light of day anywhere else, just exclusively there on Patreon.

But also, I have to give a shout out to everyone who's been enjoying our behind-the-scenes documentary.
