They didn't have a lot of resources.

The first thing they sent up, they bought this old twin engine Piper Apache aircraft and they'd try to follow me with it.

And I'd be flying these Alaskan type bush planes, Somali and planes that are really designed for rough mountain flying and all that kind of stuff.

I could slow down to like 40 miles an hour and this Apache couldn't go slower than about 80 or 90 miles an hour.

So they kept having to pass me and they'd wave.

That went on for a while and they bought themselves a helicopter and they could pace me in the helicopter and I'd have to engage in actual aerobatic maneuvers and that sort of thing.

So he taught in he taught in an older, very underpowered Apache.

And I remember leaving out of the airport on the first day.

He pulled mention and he said, now what? And I said, I don't know.

He insisted on starting in the Apache.

I finished up my ATP CTP a while ago and also did the ATP written.

So the only thing that's stopping me now is just taking the actual ATP checkride.

Uh, so I wanted to get more experience in the twin because either I'm going to have to go actually fly in a twin, like in Fort Lauderdale or something like that, sign up for one of these ATP finish up classes where you go and do the actual check ride in a, in like a Duchess or a Seminole or something like that.

Or, you know, maybe I'll find an opportunity to get a type rating and either way.

Most FBOs don't do that.

It's usually dual only.

So this was an inexpensive way for me to build up that time flying an airplane that was basically the same thing I took my multi-engine checkride, a Piper Apache.
