Piotr Havik

It was about two hours faster than any previous edition, and I already thought it was lightning quick.

But Piotr Havik, a Dutch professional rider, took, again, almost two hours off from previous times, so...

It's getting quicker and quicker.

We did see that as it's coming to the end of the season, we started to see a bit of fatigue in some riders, I think, both physically and mentally.

And there's also, at a race like Badlands, it's only, what was it? I think that's 36 hours long.

There's no margin for error or for a quick stop at the bike shop.

So they both scratched, leaving Piotr Havik to win in one day, 12 hours and 15 minutes.

In second place, Tiago Ferreira in one day, 14 hours and 19 minutes.

And that is essentially how this year's race played out.

The overall winner was Piotr Havik in Leipzig.

quite stellar time of 36 hours 15 minutes um the the tracker seemed to miss out his first three and a quarter hours there was a straight line there so the stop time it gives is slightly off which has inflated his average moving speed as well But even still, his average overall speed was one or two K an hour quicker than the rest.

I did a bit of Strava stalking, found out he was actually moving for 33 hours, 57 of that.
