Pinotin

The birds don't like it, which is fantastic because it just means we get all the grapes intact.

And then across the bottom of the farm, we planted Pinotin because it also has the benefit of being a little bit better in a frost.

You know, you could get as much fruit on the second bud.

And we really needed that this year because we had three terrible frosts that sort of knocked us out again and again and again.

And maybe they'll never be wine.

And then you got to 2025 and a lot of the vines are still, were still not mature enough last year to hold grapes.

But some of the, particularly the Pinotin and Souvenir Gris, they were, we call them the big girls vines.

So our big girl vines were ready to go, and we didn't want to hold them back.

Ähm, ja, eventuell würde ich noch ein bisschen mehr Pinotin, ähm, anbauen, obwohl da ja jeder sagt, das ist so das, äh, ähm, anstrengende Kind unter den, äh, Piwi-Rebsorten, [lachen] weil es extrem sensibel ist gegen die Kirschessigfliege.
