Pine Island Sound

More than could be put on the episode.

Guys, if you want to check that episode out, it was episode one of season eight, Mr. Ty Nelson and I getting down there in Pine Island Sound and had an absolute blast of a time.

We got more coming.

We already got another episode in the works.

And, and we didn't really do as much like true backcountry compared to what some of the trips you do, but I'd love to hear like what backcountry means to you in, in your area that, that a lot of people might not think of.

So as you saw when we were down here, we have, we have miles and miles of mangrove shorelines, and in a lot of our areas, um, as you get more, we have a lot of individual islands that are out in Pine Island Sound, Charlotte Harbor, the north end of the harbor has a large area, um, that's full of small islands and everything.

But a lot of our, uh, going into a lot of our mainland- Um, there's a lot of creeks that run back into there, like Pine Island, for instance.

Um, there's all kinds of small creeks that feed back into, um, the Pine Island mainland, and it's...

I mean, when I say not much, there's, there's still probably a couple hundred miles of, of creeks that aren't accessible by any, any foot traffic.

You'd never be able to walk to get to them.

The only way that you can access these waters is from coming in out of a main body of water, whether it be Charlotte Harbor, Matlacha Pass, um, Pine Island Sound, get further south towards Estero Bay, um, and then it even gets more prevalent as you head further south and you get south of Marco Island, which is where Ten Thousand Islands starts.

So, and that heading all the way south, all the way down into the Everglades and Everglades National Park down there.
