Pillsbury Baptist Bible College

Do you think that, I know I kind of had a similar journey myself where I left, I'm originally from the Alabama Gulf Coast and I had the opportunity to get into college basketball coaching in Minnesota, in the upper Midwest here, and got this sweet deal to start the cross-country team and be an assistant basketball coach in sports information, director at a small Bible college in Owatonna, Minnesota, about an hour south of the Twin Cities.

And it's called Pillsbury.

It's no longer open, unfortunately.

But they gave me all of that, and I got a meal card and an apartment, and I got a job at the Nike factory store just down the road.

with the longtime David Lipscomb College, which became Lipscomb University, and Northern State University head coach, the late Don Meyer.

And I had gone down in 1994 with our head coach at Pillsbury.

We drove down on a big-time budget, a very small one, to Nashville from Minnesota to go to this two-day event.

Ronnie.

was a student at Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in Owatonnawaska, Minnesota.

It was 1962, maybe 63, but I think 62.

My parents learned that there'd been a bad accident in Casper, Wyoming, with Dr. Winninger driving and his son Dwayne.
